Service Description

In this flexible beginners class, learn to create pottery on the wheel and the table. Intro to Clay is designed for students with little to no experience; students often take this class multiple times. Explore pottery with our enthusiastic instructor, Bari, and learn how to make cups, bowls and plates. The syllabus includes one hand-building project, multiple days of throwing cups and bowls, trimming and finishing work, and two glaze classes. Dishes made at our studio are dishwasher and microwave-safe. Students must be ages 14+ Bari Precious has been a professional potter for over 30 years and is well-informed and energetic. This attentive instructor will provide a hands-on atmosphere. We will be at our new location at 115 Chapel Street. On weekends and evenings, parking is free on the street. The price includes clay and firing. WHAT TO BRING An apron or hand towel. *Cancellations & Missed Classes Missed classes can be made up by booking a complimentary Studio Drop-In. This is automatically compensated to you through your attendance in class and must be used within two weeks of the class finishing. Full refunds are given for cancellations made 14 days before class. After that date, we will do our best to fill your space. If we do, we will refund you minus a $45 office fee. No refunds are given once the class has started. We are located at 115 Chapel Street.
