Wednesday Advanced Pottery Wheel This class is designed for students who have experience with the potter’s wheel. You should already know how to center comfortably and the basics of handles and attachments. Our instructor, Robert, will guide you through self-directed projects and demonstrate a new skill in each class. Come ready with your ideas and a willingness to share with the group. Robert will work with the group to design challenges and skill-based projects to further the quality of your pottery. The syllabus can include throwing larger, adding handles, lids, or feet, creating decoration techniques with layered glazes, and carving. This class is for adults only. Robert has been a Potter on Vancouver Island for decades, teaching with us at NCA for the last five years and many years at the Bowen Pottery Room. WHAT TO BRING An apron. Please be prepared to take your apron home each week and wash it. A $45 value bag of clay is included in all classes. Missed Classes Missed classes can be made up by booking a complimentary Studio Drop-In. This is automatically compensated to you through your attendance in class and must be used within two weeks of the class finishing. *Cancelations Full refunds are given for cancellations made 14 days before class. After that date, we will do our best to fill your space. If we do, we will refund you minus a $50 office fee. No refunds are given once the class has started. We are located at 115 Chapel St. Parking in the evenings is free.
